As some of you know, I own a beautiful piece of mountain property in Costa Rica. I am segregating 6 lots which border a forested part of the property.  This forest has centuries old exotic trees, creeks, waterfalls, a river below, monkeys birds and a sense of peace and tranquility you will only find right here. Fresh water crayfish multiply in the creek and are "good eatin". Hiking trails will allow access only to "us and our guests" til the end of time. The plan is simple. Buy a clear titled lot and also part ownership in the forest. The forest is like a common area in a condo project. Each owner has a vote in any issue that may arise and the forest can never be sold without unanimous votes from all owners. There will be NO yearly costs directly to lot owners because the forest will be placed in a "protective status" earning carbon credit payments which will more than cover the forest land taxes, trail and other maintenance, possibly even a yearly rebate to lot owners. I am also offering partnership in a seperate coffee growing business which can provide a good yearly income to each if desired.
