Costa Rica is a neutral country with no armies, that doesn't meddle in other countries affairs. This allows for a peaceful existence on the planet.​

With the majority being Catholic, about 1/4 being Christian and a very small percent of "other" religions there is no struggle about religions nor racism here. We don't have the problems that are beginning to plague Europe and the USA. This alone might be enough for some folks to "choose Costa Rica". 

 

The "Pura Vida" lifestyle. Living in tanks tops and flip flops. Only wearing long pants a dozen times per year. Year-round growing season for most fruits and veggies. Grass-fed, free range beef. Clean air and reduced stress levels. Howler monkeys passing within 10 feet of your window, exotic birds, waterfalls, endless views with not a single man-made object in sight. I could name a hundred reasons why I prefer life here as opposed to the USA. You will simply have to experience it yourself to really understand why it improves your life and health. Maybe you simply want a vacation home or investment opportunity.
